Duo Scope

Measure the hinge angle and practise Duo features

Duo Scope shows your iPhone Duo's live hinge angle, app area, display scale and maximum refresh rate. Open or fold the device to see the readings change.

Practise gestures in the app

Try opening a Split View layout, returning an app to full screen, pairing and swapping apps, and dragging a note between panes. The practice surfaces are labelled and do not control other apps.

Keep a note while folding

Write a note and change Duo's hinge angle. The app keeps your note saved as its layout changes. You can also draw with a finger or compatible Pencil, play the included video and request a second app window.

Check which features your device supports

Live hinge readings require iPhone Duo. The model preview and practice activities work without hinge data on other compatible iPhones. Duo Scope requires iOS 27.0 or later. Live hinge readings on Duo require iOS 27.1 or later; the guides identify features that need iOS 27.2, an accessory or another app.

The app has no account, advertising, subscription or in-app purchases. Your note, progress and preferences are saved locally.
